Behind the Scenes– Old Spice: The Man Your Man Could Smell Like

Remember when you looked at him, then you looked away, then you looked back at him? Then out of nowhere he was on a horse!

Well I have to say that Old Spice commercial, The Man Your Man Could Smell Like, featuring actor Isaiah Mustaf, is one of the funniest commercials I have ever seen. Leo LaPorte interviewed the creators of the commercial, copywriter Eric Kallman and art director Craig Allen (of ad agency Wieden+Kennedy), and you can now check out the behind the scenes of how it was created below. And just like I thought the majority of the commercial was shot all live action, on set, with very little CG.

Barry Underwood: Super Natural Photography

Check out these "scenes" done by Barry Underwood. I love his landscapes where some type of phenomenon is implied. His use of light and time exposure are quite spectacular. Barry holds a degree in theater and a MFA in photography, which seems pretty evident.

I was watching the making of video for the new Jay-Z album cover 'Blueprint 3' and stumbled onto the amazing work of Dan Tobin Smith. You have to look at his precision, and the way he captures light and perspective. Just amazing.
